Prince Alfred Park Pool Fence

Ronstan Tensile Architecture will supply and install fence steelwork including stainless steel cables and mesh for this exciting new pool precinct in Surrey Hills, New South Wales, Australia.
Currently we are erecting a custom 400 lineal meter X-Tend mesh fence to the surrounds of the site.
The existing 50m pool is being upgraded with new facilities and housed within a cranked linear designed building. The landscape of the surrounding grounds evolve as though folded up and over the building as a green roof, completely concealing it from the street. Grass mounds define the pool enclosure and further integrate the facility within the park, in keeping with the principle of prioritising park over built form.

Ronstan Tensile Architecture provides full-service
engineering, design assistance, and installation services for an innovative
catenary lighting system that spirals through the Watergardens Town Centre in
Taylor Lakes, Victoria.
Watergardens Town Centre is a 56 hectare community hub that
offers shopping, dining, entertainment, hospitality, and other business
services. The area has been a vibrant and growing part of Taylor Lakes township
since its 1997 opening, attracting droves of visitors to its 200+ specialty
stores and community events.
Recently, the Centre has expanded to include a dining-focused "eat street"
called Station Streat, which is now outfitted with a custom Ronstan catenary lighting system. This system, designed by
Electrolight and Ronstan, stylishly assists in making the area functional after
dark without being obstructive to walking paths. More importantly, the system
creates a spectacular entry statement with its unconventional 3-D "ribbon like"
design that speaks to the geometric language of the Centre's existing graphic
motif.
"The idea was to create a lighting scheme that gives a sense of
movement and direction," explains Paul Beale, Director at Electrolight. "We
endeavoured to create a visual link from the Centre's train station to the main
entrance and shopping areas, while also highlighting the eddies of other parts
in the complex that may have otherwise gone unnoticed."

Watergardens Town Centre

Watergardens Shopping Centre is a focal point for the community in the growing township of Taylors Lakes in Melbourne’s western suburbs. The centre’s owner, QIC, has recently extended the centre and introduced a new ‘eat street’ offering a variety of hospitality options including a wide range of restaurants and taverns.
Electrolight’s brief from QIC was to design a light sculpture which would not only illuminate the street but would also create a spectacular entry statement for patrons entering from the station or car parks.
The concept for the lighting design uses the geometric language of the existing graphic centre motif with simple lines that reinforce the Watergardens brand and encourage an engagement with the precinct as a whole. The lines are a luminous manifestation of the journey made by visitors from arrival at the Watergardens Station to destinations within the centre. At strategic points along the journey the lines burst like fireworks into smaller lines of light reminiscent of iron filings drawn towards a magnetic centre. The creation of interweaving and meandering lines along the length of the street lead the eye to the town square and covered shopping centre. The light lines signal points of interest and transform the social space by creating a sense of intimacy and movement.
