Ronstan Tensile Architecture was contacted by the glazing engineer and contractor of the USAA Corporate Headquarters, Trainor Glass, to assist in the design of a cable and rod system to support of an overhead glass ceiling and vertical glass facade.

The intricate design of rods and cables tensioned the stainless king posts and framing to provide structural stability for the glass panels. Ronstan’s design team worked closely with the glazing engineer to ensure the load capacity was best suited for the glass design ensuring the cleanest sightlines possible.

The complete installation took 14 days. Ronstan Tensile Architecture designed and fabricated the ACS2 stainless steel cable system to support the ceiling framing. ARS3 stainless steel rod systems were used to support the king posts.
