The Astor Park Garage in Columbus, Ohio, exemplifies the seamless integration of architectural innovation and functional design. Designed by Moody Nolan, this five-level, 680-space parking structure serves as a pivotal element within the Astor Park development, adjacent to Lower.com Field, home of the Columbus Crew MLS team. The garage’s facade features Webforge Locker’s Atmosphere™ panels, known for their perforated design that facilitates natural ventilation while offering a sleek, modern aesthetic. These panels transition from flat to folded forms, creating a dynamic visual effect that reflects the movement of sunlight across the nearby Olentangy River.

Ronstan Tensile Architecture played a crucial role in this project by supplying and manufacturing the structural cables and cable end terminations that support the Atmosphere™ panels. Our expertise in cable-supported facades was instrumental during the design and engineering phases, ensuring the system’s structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. The collaboration between Ronstan, Webforge Locker, and other project stakeholders resulted in a parking facility that not only meets functional requirements but also enhances the urban landscape with its innovative design and sustainable features.
